The University Scholarship Program is established by various universities in order to encourage students all over the world to study Chinese or conduct research regarding major fields.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health.
2. The requirements for applicants’ degree and age are that applicants must:
*be a high school graduate under the age of 25 when applying for the Undergraduate Programs;
*be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for the Master’s Programs;
*be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for the Doctoral programs;
*be under the age of 45 and have a high school diploma (or higher) when applying for the General Scholar Programs;
*be a master’s degree holder or an associate professor (or above) under the age of 50 when applying for the Senior Scholar Programs.

Admission requirement for Master’s program:
These are the general admission requirements for Master’s students.
1. Hold a valid foreign Passport.
2. Highest degree certificate (notarized photocopy) High school, Senior High School & 4 years Bachelor Degree or Equivalent
3. Academic transcripts (notarized photocopy) above mentioned degrees
4. Digital Picture
5. IELTS or Proof of English/Chinese language proficiency. Under normal circumstances, applicants for Chinese taught programs are required to have HSK level 4-6 certificate or above; or pass the university’s entrance examination.
6. Provide two letters of recommendation from professors
7. A study or research plan (at least 800 words)
8. CV

Scholarship coverage and criteria
Full Scholarship:
• A fee waiver of registration, tuition, laboratory experiments, internship, and basic textbooks. • Cost of experiments or internships beyond the program curricular is at student’s own expense. • Cost of books or learning materials other than required basic textbooks is at student’s own expense. • Free on-campus dormitory accommodation.
Living allowance: at the following rates( per month)
Master’s students & general scholars: CNY 1,700-2,000
Doctoral students & senior scholars: CNY 2,000-2,500
Scholarship recipients registering before the 15th of the registration month (the 15th included) will be granted the full living allowance of that month. Recipients registering after the 15th of the registration month will be granted half of the living allowance of that month.
Partial Scholarship:
The partial scholarship covers one or several of the items mentioned in the Full Scholarship.
Application Deadline:
Applicants should application along with all required documents to Great Wall Education Company.
Applicants must apply for the scholarship between January 1st and June 15th each year.
